Stora Enso group adjusted its internal structure to improve competitiveness and performance

Stora Enso decided to readjust the structure of its business division and financial reporting division. The group combines the reporting division of paper products such as paper and book paper, magazine paper and high-end cultural paper, which has great equipment sensitivity, into a financial reporting division, called the printing and publishing paper division. The two reporting divisions of civil packaging paperboard and industrial packaging paperboard will form the renewable packaging division and the reporting division in the survey. In addition, Stora Enso has newly established a biomass materials business unit, mainly including the group's joint-venture pulp plant, independent pulp plant and plantation. The wood products division was renamed as the construction and living division

so far, Stora Enso group will have four business divisions, each as a financial reporting Division:

biomass materials business can 'cover the bottom' when encountering the risk of real estate decline, and the person in charge is executive vice president Juan Bueno

the head of the printing and publishing paper business department is Juha vanhaien, executive vice president

renewable packaging division, headed by mats Nordlander, executive vice president

Hannu Kasurinen, executive vice president of the construction and living division

the changes of each business unit and management will be implemented from January 17, 2012

CEO Kang Youkun said: we will organize our business according to the different markets and customers we serve. The purpose of this is to improve the competitiveness, flexibility, speed and performance of the organization, and minimize the interdependence between businesses, so as to ensure that we have the ability and keen insight to seize the business opportunities brought by global economic changes

the interim review of the first quarter of 2012 will be the first financial report prepared according to the new reporting segment structure and will be released on April 24, 2012. The historical figures based on the new report structure will be released on Stora Enso capital market day on March 22, 2012

changes in outlook presentation

Stora Enso will change the way it provides forward-looking forecast guidance from the time it announces its results for the fourth quarter of 2011. The group will no longer provide price and demand guidance for specific product categories, but provide forward-looking guidance on the sales of carbon fiber reinforced composites and operating profit before interest and tax (EBIT) of quarterly modern airliners such as Airbus A350XWB for the current quarter, so as to improve capital market services
